Our Story
ConnectedParent was built on a simple, evidence-based truth: When parents have practical tools grounded in real life, children thrive, and family relationships deepen.
As a Counselling Psychologist and a mother, Prudence Poswa noticed something important: parents weren’t failing – they were trying incredibly hard in a system that doesn’t always support them. South African parents are often carrying their own childhood wounds, trying to break generational patterns with limited tools, and doing their best to show up with patience, presence, and connection.
At the same time, research on attachment, emotional development, and relational neuroscience offered rich, life-changing insights. But these insights rarely reached parents in everyday language they could actually use. What’s missing isn’t effort – it’s guidance that speaks to the realities of South African families. The ConnectedParent Village was created to help bridge that gap.
Built on the belief that parenting is both science and relationship, The ConnectedParent Village translates complex psychological research into simple, relatable ways of understanding and relating, not just tools to apply.
It honours the emotional realities of parenting while grounding every resource in evidence-based practice.
This is a space where parents feel seen.
Where guidance is gentle but grounded.
Where science becomes everyday wisdom.
Where families grow together. Where parents are supported not just in what they do, but in how they show up.
The ConnectedParent Village is more than a brand, it’s a movement toward raising connected children, one empowered parent at a time.
