Adolescent Psychotherapy – Medical Aid
R360,00

Adolescent psychotherapy is a psychological service designed for teenagers (typically ages 12–18), providing a safe and supportive space for them to express their thoughts and emotions, develop coping strategies, and enhance their mental well-being. Aims address a wide range of issues, including parent-child conflicts, identity development, peer and romantic relationships, academic stress, mental health disorders, and family challenges. Both biological parents must provide consent.
The adolescent must be able to use MS Teams independently and have privacy for the entire session. Parent feedback sessions are provided and will be discussed during the contracting process. The first session is attended by both parents and the adolescent; after a few minutes of contracting, the parents will be excused.
A once-off administration fee of R360 is applicable to all patients using medical aid. This fee is billed directly to the patient and is not claimable from the medical aid. It covers the administrative services required to support your treatment journey.
